Small Baking Business Policy Sheet
Thank you so much for supporting my small baking business! I truly appreciate every order and aim to make the process simple, friendly, and enjoyable.
1. Ordering Policy
- All orders must be placed a minimum of 7 days in advance.
- For weddings, large events, or custom designs, please allow 2–4 weeks notice.
- Orders are not considered confirmed until the required deposit is paid.
2. Deposit Requirements
- A 20% non-refundable deposit of the total order cost is required at the time of booking.
- This deposit helps cover the cost of materials and secures your date.
- No materials will be purchased and no work will begin until the deposit is received.
- The remaining balance must be paid no later than 48 hours before pickup or delivery.
3. Cancellation & Refunds
- Deposits are non‑refundable.
- Orders cancelled more than 72 hours before the scheduled pickup/delivery may receive a partial refund of the balance paid (excluding the deposit).
- Orders cancelled within 72 hours of pickup/delivery are non‑refundable due to preparation time and perishable ingredients.
4. Changes to Orders
- I want you to love your order. I send photos the night before pickup or delivery so you can see the final product.
- If you need any small adjustments after seeing the photo, please let me know right away. I will make any reasonable changes as long as weather and temperature allow.
- Design, quantity, and flavor changes requested earlier than 5 days before the event are usually easy to accommodate.
- Late changes may not always be possible, and some may affect pricing.
5. Pickup & Delivery
- Pickup times will be scheduled in advance. Late arrivals beyond a 15‑minute window may require rescheduling.
- Delivery is available within a defined service area for an additional fee.
- Once orders leave my possession (pickup or delivery), I am not responsible for damage caused by handling, transport, or storage.
6. Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
- I operate as a home bakery and may use ingredients including nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten, and other allergens.
- While I take care with cross‑contamination, I cannot guarantee an allergen‑free product.
- Customers must disclose any allergies when ordering.
7. Quality & Design
- All products are made by hand. Designs may vary slightly from examples provided.
- Colors may appear different due to lighting, screens, or natural variations.
8. Storage & Care Instructions
- Cakes: Refrigerate if not served within 2 hours. Bring to room temperature before serving.
- Cupcakes, cookies, and pastries: Store in a cool area away from direct heat.
- Improper storage may affect taste and structural integrity.
9. Payment Methods
- Accepted forms of payment: Cash, card, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or other methods as stated at checkout.
- Full payment must be completed before pickup or delivery.
10. Agreement
- By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and agrees to all policies stated above.
